At the Nurievsky-2015 soloists Covent Garden, New York City Ballet, Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters are invited

About 30 invited dancers and conductors from Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, USA, Portugal, Argentina, Belarus and Kazakhstan will take part in the festival.

From May 15 to May 29, 2015, XXVIII International Festival of Classical Ballet named after Rudolf Nuriev will take place on the stage of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Jalil.

The forum of the name of the great dancer will open with the premiere of L. Minkus’ ballet “Don Quixote”. On May 15, the Kitri party will be performed by the prima ballerina TAGTOiB named after M.Jalil Kristina Andreeva, on May 16 – the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Anastasia Matviyenko. In the role of Basil viewers will see the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Kimin Kim. The Lady Dryad – Ekaterina Chebykina (Mariinsky Theater), Espada – Prime TAGTOiB named after M.Jalilya Artem Belov, as soloist of TAGTOiB named after M.Jalil Gleb Korablev as Don Quixote.

The poster of the festival will be continued by the world classics of ballet – ballets “Swan Lake” by P. Tchaikovsky and “Giselle” by A. Adana. In the “Swan Lake” the leading roles will be performed by the prima ballerina and the leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Ekaterina Shipulina and Denis Rodkin, in the parties of Rothbart and Shut, the soloists of the TAGTOiB named after M.Jalil Artem Belov and Koya Okawa, respectively. In the ballet “Giselle” leading parties will perform soloists of the theater Covent Garden (London) Ittsiar Mendizabal (Giselle) and Nehemia Kish (Count Albert). In the role of Lady Miles Willis in the performance will perform soloist of the Kremlin Ballet Irina Abiltsova.

Contemporary choreography is presented in the playbill of the author’s performances “Carmina Burana, or Wheel of Fortune” (choreography by Alexander Polubentsev to the music of Karl Orff), “Golden Horde” (music by Rezeda Akhiyarova, production by Georgy Kovtun), as well as one-act ballets of the National Bolshoi Theater of Belarus “Carmen (choreography by Valentina Elizarieva), “Bolero” (choreography by Valentina Elizarieva), and “Six Dances” (choreography by Jiri Kylian). In the first two performances soloists TAGTOiB named after M.Jalil Kristina Andreeva, Nurlan Kanetov, Mikhail Timaev, Artem Belov, Alexandra Elagina, Alina Shteinberg and others are engaged. The performances of the Belarusian Opera will be presented by the ballet troupe of this theater (42 people), the performances of the Minskers will be held under the phonogram .

The poster also features the ballet Anyuta for the music of Valery Gavrilin staged by Vladimir Vasiliev. The performance will feature soloists of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Kristina Kretova (Anyuta), Gennady Yanin (Modest Alexeevich), Andrey Merkuriev (Student). In the party of Peter Leontievich – Konstantin Kuznetsov (National Bolshoi Theater of the Republic of Belarus), Artinov – Anton Polodyuk (TAGTOiB named after M.Dzhalil).

The final performance will be La Bayadère by L. Minkus. The party of Nikia will be performed by the soloist of the Vienna State Opera Lyudmila Konovalova. In the role of Solor again in Kazan will make Matthew Golding (Covent Garden, London). Gamzatti will be performed by Oksana Kardash (Moscow State Academic Music Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko).

The performances will be conducted by the chief conductor of TAGTOiB named after M. Jalil Renat Salavatov, Nurzhan Baibusinov (Kazakh Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai), Andrey Anikhanov (Rostov Musical Theater) and Valentin Uryupin (Perm State Opera and Ballet Theater named after PI. Tchaikovsky).

The stars of the world ballet will take part in Gala concerts: Ana-Sofia Scheller (New York City Ballet), Matthew Golding (Covent Garden, London), Denis Matvienko, Oksana Bondareva (Mariinsky Theater), Rachel Buriassi, Alexander Jones (Stuttgart Ballet ), Philip de Castro, Carlos Pinillos (National Ballet of Portugal), Victor Lebedev (Mikhailovsky Theater), Dmitry Semionov (Semperoper, Drezder), Monica Foteku-Utah (Dortmund-Ballet), Lyudmila Konovalova (Vienna State Opera), Mykola Gorodiski Theater Colon, Buenos Aires), as well as soloists of the Tatar Theater opera and ballet named after M.Jalil.
