INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE BALLET IN KREMLIN

By the already established good tradition, in September the State Kremlin Palace holds the International Ballet Festival. Within the framework of the Festival, the audience can see the best performances of the theater “Kremlin Ballet” with the participation of the stars of the world ballet. In 2018, the Festival will be held for the seventh time, and artists from the USA, Germany, the Netherlands and Russia will take part in it. A successful addition to the festival program in 2018 will be the premiere of the ballet “Scarlet Flower” staged by the People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Petrov.

The schedule of the VII International Ballet Festival in the Kremlin:

September 22, 18:00 – Opening. The premiere of the play “Scarlet Flower”
September 23, 18:00 – the play “Esmeralda”
The main parts will be performed by: Matilda Fruste (Ballet Theater of San Francisco, USA)
September 24, 19:00 – the play “La Bayadere”
The main parts will be performed by Ekaterina Kondaurova and Timur Askerov (Mariinsky Theater, Russia)
September 25, 19:00 – the play “Giselle”
The main parts will be performed by: Dorothea Gilbert (Paris Opera, France) and Istvan Simon (Dortmund Ballet, Germany and the National Ballet of Hungary, Hungary)
September 27, 19:00 – the performance “Swan Lake”
The main roles will be performed by Polina Semionova (Berlin State Ballet, Germany) and Daniel Camargo (National Ballet of the Netherlands, Netherlands)
September 28, 19:00 – performance “Don Quixote”
The main roles will be performed by Maria Kochetkova (Norwegian National Ballet, Oslo) and Daniil Simkin (American Ballet Theater, USA)
September 29, 18:00 – Closing ceremony. Premiere of the play “Cipollino”

During its existence, the International Ballet Festival in the Kremlin was awarded a high audience recognition.
